Over the past year there have been many developments
that IMSciences has concerned itself
with. This is a partial list to give an idea of
the extent of the activities undertaken and the
possibilities they will allow us in the future.
Academic Progress
IMSciences has been allowed to use its Degree
Awarding Status and is functioning, as
Government owned autonomous Institution
since September 2005.
Twenty three (23) Faculty Members qualified
for the award of scholarships sponsored
by the Higher Education Commission
and they are pursuing their PhD's/MPhils at
different indigenous/foreign universities.
The Institute will commence MBA with specialization
in Micro Finance, Masters in Human
Resource Management and MBA with
Development Economics.
Number of students has been increased to
1600 in session 2006-08.
Offering partial and full scholarships to
its talented and needy students from its
own resources and with support of United States Agency for International Development
(USAID), HEC- Japanese need based
scholarships and Frontier Education Foundation
(FEF).
Development of Physical
Infrastructure
Higher Education Commission, Islamabad is
a major funding body and is supporting IMSciences
to reach its destiny. Four of its PC-Is
have been approved by HEC. These PC-Is enables
IMSciences to
Establish Network setup (Last Mile PERN
Connectivity).
Construct Visiting faculty hostel at IMSciences.
Construct Hostels for students (Male and
Female) at IMSciences.
Strengthen Institute of Management Sciences
by provision of Additional Facilities.
Develop Institute of Management Sciences
(IMSciences), Peshawar (In Pipeline).
The status of this Institute caters uniqueness
because of its modes toward education
spread. Guest speakers from different professional
fields are invited to enhance knowledge
of students by sharing their practical experiences.
Research Publications by
Faculty
Faculty Development ensures improvement
of education standards in today’s competitive
environment. IMSciences focuses on development
it’s faculty as it is the core requirement
of educational institute. Twenty three of our
faculty members won HEC scholarships for
higher studies (indigenous and abroad). During
this year fourteen international research
papers have been published by the faculty of
Information Technology and twenty two have
been published by the Business Administration
faculty.
